Found by metal detector around 2000 at Ypres (Belgium) scene of some of the most intense fighting with English and French bringing the German advance to a stalemate. Made of aluminum salvaged from ordnance. Size slightly over 9, 2.9mm width. The surface hand cut with a series of lenticular forms. Light gray surface oxidation. Probably made for his sweetheart but never made it out of the trench.
